  Education Anne Buter grew up near Cologne, Germany.
She received her Master's Degree in Voice from the "Hochschule für Musik" in Munich, where she studied voice with Prof. Daphne Evangelatos and art-song interpretation with Prof. Wolfram Rieger and Prof. Helmut Deutsch.
She continued her studies in 2-year postgraduate program in Munich, including first performances in the opera school.



  Competitions Anne Buter won a prize in the "Hans Pfitzner Lied"-Competition in Munich in 1994 and at the "Internationaler Bachwettbewerb" in Leipzig 1996



  Concerts International concerts under Sir Colin Davis, Christoph Eschenbach, Olaf Henzold, Peter Kuhn, Kay Johannsen, Hayko Siemens and Roderich Kreile brought her to the Prinzregententheater in Munich, to the Munich Gasteig, the Herkulessaal Munich, the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf, the Music Hall in Hamburg, the Grand Opera in Lyon, the Stedelijkmuseum of Amsterdam, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the King´s Hall in London and the Kreuzkirche in Dresden.



  Chamber music A superb interpreter of chamber music and art-song; Anne Buter has achieved acclaim in concerts with rarely-performed chamber-music works. Her concerts have been broadcast by the Bavarian Radio, Radio France, the BBC, Netherlands Radio, Südwestfunk and RBB Berlin.
She has appeared in concerts throughout Europe with Juliane Banse, Ofelia Sala, Thomas Quasthoff, James Taylor, Jochen Kupfer, Christian Ivaldi, Isabelle Faust, Massimo Quarta, Alain Meunier, Pascal Devoyon, the Auryin String Quartett, the New Stuttgarter String Quartett, Claudia Popp, Reinild Mees and the Gewandhausoktett Leipzig.
She is a member of the "Münchner Liedtrio" and founded the duo "Aria Graziosa" with the concert-guitarrist Peter Meier.



  Teaching Experience   Anne Buter is an adjunct faculty member of the Richard Strauss Konservatoriumin Munich.



  Festivals An avid perfomer of chamber music Anne Buter is guest at many international music festivals: the "Musicades" in Lyon, the "Scarlattifestival" in Naples, the "Jewish Music Festival" and the "Festival of Central European Culture" in London, the "Choriner Festwochen" in Berlin, the "European Musikfestival" in Toblach, the "International Bachfestival" in Leipzig and the chamber music festival "La Musica" in Sarasota / Florida.



  Discography She can be heard in a variety of recordings, for example: Haydn's "Missa cellensis" with the "Orpheus Ensemble München" and in the recording of Franz Schreker's complete song oeuvre by Channel Classics.



  Opera She made her opera debut as Niklas in "Tales of Hofmann" at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich. As a guest at the opera house of Lucern she appeared as Annius in Mozart´s "La clemenza di Tito".
